Dryers FAQ's

Cleaning the lint screen/filter before or after drying each load of laundry is necessary. Excessive buildup of lint can prevent airflow and affect the efficiency of drying clothes. Remove and clean the lint filter with soapy water; dry thoroughly before reinstalling.

It is also advisable to inspect and clean the whole dryer inside and ventilation every 18 months on a regular basis by a professional company to prevent lint build-up and prevent a fire hazard.

Sounds that are normal: A squeak is natural when the dryer is starting, within the first few seconds of operation, the sound should go away.
The sound of the dryer’s drum as it turns around.

Sounds that do not sound normal: Sound thumping.
A squeak only when the dryer is hot, the same sound does not exist when the dryer is cold.
Very short squeak which repeats every few seconds.

On items being dried, belt buckles or other metal fasteners can cause sounds of rattling or clanking. To decrease the vibrations, you can fasten these things or turn garments inside out. Foreign objects (such as coins) in the drum can also trigger rattling or clanking noises. Stop the dryer and search for any objects in the drum if you believe this is the problem. If none is present and the sounds persist, to see if the noise persists, we suggest running an empty load. This will allow you to decide if the noise is coming from the drying device or an object. Please contact us to schedule a service call if the noise during the empty load is still present.

The model number is located on a sticker inside the dryer when the door is open, depending on the model. In some models you can find the model number on the back exterior of the unit or near the front of the cabinet side.

In case of Gas dryer you can find it behind the front access panel.

Dryers come in gas, electric, and ventless varieties. The energy source used to heat the air is the main difference between gas and electric. Electric dryers generate heat with electricity, whereas gas dryers do the same using gas.

Only gas-licensed technicians are allowed to install or repair gas dryers. To ensure everything is done correctly and by the law’s standards, ask the technician to provide you with a copy of his gas license.

For instance, a blocked dryer vent may hinder your dryer’s ability to heat up properly and raise the possibility of a fire. You can rely on our experts to take these kinds of things into account when recommending a solution to your dryer problem.
